Therapeutic patient education and PCOS, an unexplored medical care
Résumé
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is common and manifests itself with various symptoms leading to an often misdiagnosis in primary care. The challenges are to organize comprehensive care to prevent short and long term complications, particularly of the metabolic and gyneco-obstetrical type. Patients are unhappy with the care they receive. Care and an adaptea lifestyle often allow a clear improvement of this pathology over time. The therapeutic education program aims to ensure that women understand their pathology, to help them cope better with it, but also to take charge of them as a whole and to give them the keys to ultimately prevent complications. Support and accompaniment are necessary for these patients whc have often experienced diagnostic wandering and medico, nomadism.
