Stability analysis of Distributed Model Predictive Control applied to a three tank system

Résumé

This paper deals with a stability analysis of general nonlinear systems managed by a distributed model predictive control using a dual decomposition approach. The design of the DNMPC is done using an analytical solution with an approximation of the output using Taylor series. In order to test the stability of the closed-loop system, a relation between the order of the nonlinear system and the Taylor order is evaluated. The theoretical results are illustrated through a three tank system example.
