MoS 2 Based Nanomaterial for Light Emitting Diode Applications

Résumé

Molybdenum disulfide one of the graphene analogs and a typical representative of transition metal dichalcogenides, has recently received great attention due to its outstanding electrical and optical properties, such as the bandgap tuning, high carrier mobility and efficient optical absorption. Nanostructured Molybdenum disulfide for instance with single and few layers having respectively direct and indirect bandgaps are considered as a promising material for optoelectronic applications. In this work, we present both theoretical and experimental investigations on the elaboration and characterization of Molybdenum disulfide to be used to engineer light emitting diodes with tunable wavelengths and to be integrated into light emitting diode devices.
