Comparative Study of Robust Current Control Strategies for Multiphase Induction Generator

Résumé

In this paper, a comparison analysis between variable structure and fuzzy logic controllers for a symmetrical six-phase induction generator (S6IG) based wind energy conversion system is proposed. Our main objective is to ensure the robustness of the inner current loops of the S6IG under healthy and faulty conditions. In this paper, we will just focus on one lost phase in the stator side. The Lyapunov analysis will also be presented to prove the stability of the variable structure law associated with the inner current loops of the S6IG. An experimental investigation of both approaches is realized with the aim of choosing the optimal controller in terms of robustness with a better accuracy and less ripples in healthy and faulty conditions.
