Gifted children with learning disabilities (dyslexia)? About these twice exceptional children in France

Résumé
There is no consensus on the criteria for identifying children with High Intellectual Potential who have specific learning disorders (ex: dyslexia) in both researchers and clinicians. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the professional knowledge and practices of speech language pathologists working with these children on a daily basis. It appears that they are still poorly identified by lack of knowledge and lack of consensus in the methodology for identifying specific learning disorders in gifted children.
